Where to stay in Cape Town

Camps Bay

Beach, bars and amazing views! Be careful on windy days and high rise buildings!

Clifton

Pricey accommodation right on the ocean, overlooking the best beaches in Cape Town. Head here on a windy day rather than Camps Bay. Clifton is shielded by the wind!

Sea Point

& Green Point has the best value for money accommodation. The higher up the mountain you go the nicer the view gets. Home to the late Grandad Peter, if it was good enough for him its good enough for us!

De Waterkant

Colonial streets, roof top bars and a buzzing atmosphere. Great location for the waterfront, the city and Table Mountain.

Fresnaye

Streets as steep as San Fransisco!

A community built on the edge of the mountain. Amazing villas with views all over Cape Town. Great for families!

Bantry Bay

Similar to Clifton, Bantry Bay is right on the ocean, shielded by the wind with amazing views. There is a good choice of hotels within this area. You will be within walking distance of sea point, Clifton and even Camps Bay.

Lauren & Stuarts Notes :

All of our suggested locations are central enough for you to enjoy different parts of Cape Town. Everywhere is around a maximum 10 minute Uber journey from wherever you choose to stay.

*Our top tip for your stay in Cape Town is to ensure you use Uber rather than hiring a car. Journeys vary from £2- £5 when getting in and around the city. The furthest uber you will take should be to Stellenboch or Franschhoek. These are the best places to stay for our wedding day (and any wine tours you intend to do), the journey is around a 1 hr and should cost you as little as £25!

Using Uber will save you money, they're convenient, you don't need cash and even in rural locations they operate as often as in the city.

We're so excited to celebrate with you
